[ Here's the w4 pc we were supposed to have.

How did it turn out this way.

Aventurine's conscious, though he still grimaces with pain any time he moves. The combination of feeling like he'd been run over by several trucks as well as being forced to stay in one place is killing him. So, when Nona arrives at his hospital room, he brightens up almost immediately. ]

Nona...!

[segnale]

[PEERS IN WORRIEDLY]

How are you feeling, Aventurine? [a beat] You look terrible.

[tactic]

[ He does look terrible. Half of his face is bandaged, as well as his neck and right arm. But he doesn't look deathly pale anymore. ]

My head hurts, mostly.

[ He's got an awful migraine that's at least being dulled by some painkillers. ]

I guess it's my turn for the hospital stay.

[segnale]

[looks him over...]

There's the spring, if you want it... but I don't think I'm strong enough to carry you there.

That's okay. I was taken there... I feel better now than I did before.

[ It just didn't heal all of him and also gave him some troubling things in return, yay. ]

Did you end up using the spring at all?

Yep, Boothill took me over there a few days ago.

[does a little twirl to show she's less injured/more capable of moving around]

[ His smile grows wider at seeing the twirl. It's a relief seeing her back in good health. ]

And no strange effects for you?

[segnale]

[she's still a little injured but she's fine at least if she doesn't do too many major movements...

squints]

Are you... are you saying you've got strange effects?

[ He shows her the palm of his hand, where there is now an eye staring at Nona. It blinks, then shuts its eyelid closed. ]

I've got these appearing all over my body. And a migraine that just won't seem to go away.

[segnale]

[SQUEAKS BECAUSE SHE WASN'T EXPECTING AN EYE???]

Oh, sorry, Nona. I didn't mean to startle you.

[ Turns his hand away. ]

I-It's okay. I just wasn't expecting... that when you said you had strange effects.

Hopefully it won't last too long. They never do, right?

[they get the camp now... nona is here at night, wandering by the lakeshore despite the concern over the pawprints and how a bear ate kanda's ball. anyway, she just stops to look up at the night sky in mild awe...]

I really hope not! Can you imagine having to live with a new eye!?

Anyway, Nona will be joined by Aventurine. He's out on a late-night stroll, and when he catches sight of her, he wanders over. ]

Also Aventurine whose face is half-covered because he suffered face injuries including to his eye. ]

It is. They look even better from here.

[ There's a quiet moment before something a little like homesickness gets shared between them. ]

Kind of weird to think about how every place is so different, but looking up at the stars is kind of a universal experience, isn't it?
