you know she really should go to the hospital, but no. she has personal reasons not to go there and only part of them are because i'm not sure ff7 has many available ones to begin with. to the spring she went!
she is at her apartment! so he can probably notice that after he brings izutsumi home from the hospital to go back to the penthouse, timelines are fun. cloud is out doing cloud things (probably checking on the baby chocobo or grabbing things for her) but it means that he can knock on the door and find that it's easy to open! welcome. here isthe general view, though the bed is obviously bigger and there are a few more bookshelves filled with crystals and books and plants. there's also what looks like a large cozy sitting chair and a small table.
all of that aside, she's awake! she's curled up on the bed, and her wounds look closed so all of her blood is now inside blood. however she also looks unnaturally pale, and when she looks at him her eyes are glowing a little. she's also keeping her eyes only halfway open. light sensitive...of note, aventurine might also notice that she's wearing a new cute black choker! little bit of gold on it...circuit-like detailing. there's also a preserved black flower in a small vase on the windowsill by the bed.
the immediate emotional vibe is a little disjointed, and she seems to be staring past him for a moment as if looking at someone over his shoulder. but her attention comes back to him, and it's a faint pulse of ease upon seeing him, even if she's also suddenly giving off quiet distress.]
[ There's some relief at seeing her awake and speaking, but his concern only grows when he notices how pale she is and the way she stares off at something over his shoulder. He doesn't bother looking behind him, he knows there's nothing there. ]
Wish we hadn't. Hope you don't mind the intrusion.
[ He'll wander in, gaze studying the cozy room before it settles on the chair, and he picks it up to bring it a bit closer to where Aerith is in bed. ]
When have I ever said no to you? [a blip of fondness. emotionsharing is godawful because now not only do people have to hear how much she likes them they have to feel it, too.] I wouldn't call it an intrusion anyway.
[but he sits, and she takes the moment to try and push herself to sit up a little taller. it's a slow process because she's healed enough, but she's still pretty stiff and sore.]
...is it weird if I say it sort of feels like I'm still not really here? Like...whatever just happened wasn't entirely something that happened to this me.
[ He smiles, just as fondly, though it's strained and doesn't last for very long as he watches her struggle. It's a difficult watch, but he's quiet as he waits, wanting to let her do as she wants.
He glances down at the choker around her neck, a light sense of admiring, and then he's returning his attention to the conversation with a shake of his head. ]
I think I understand what you mean. Your sense of timing and self were warped while there, and it's disorienting. How long did it seem like you were at the place you disappeared to?
Yeah, that's exactly it. It was a life I was familiar with, but not because it's mine. It just felt like mine when I was there...we all thought we'd lived there our whole lives, but the events we went through lasted three days. [there's a pause.] They might've gone longer if there was anyone left after that though. But I don't know what happened after a certain point. I can only guess.
